Warranty Claim Process

A warranty claim is easier when you prepare before contacting support. The goal is not to overwhelm the retailer or manufacturer; it is to provide clear proof that the product is covered and the issue is legitimate.

Step 1: Confirm the product is still covered

Check the purchase date and warranty duration. If the deadline is close, act quickly and keep a record of the date you first reported the issue.

Step 2: Gather the evidence

Prepare the receipt, product name, store, serial number, warranty document, photos of the issue, and any repair history. Vaultly keeps these records close to the receipt so they are easier to find when time matters.

Step 3: Contact the right party

Some claims go through the retailer. Others go through the manufacturer. If unsure, ask both and save the answer. Keep email replies, ticket numbers, and promised next steps.

Step 4: Record the outcome

If the item is repaired, replaced, refunded, or rejected, save that outcome with the receipt. This helps if the issue returns or if you later sell the item and need a clean history.

If the receipt is already missing, read how to claim a warranty without the original receipt.
